Remarks | Though "Weijingtang", which is listed in "Jinguiyaolue", contains "Weijing", it is not circulated in the market. Therefore, Lugen is substituted for it. "Weijing" is the stem of Reed. Lugen is the rhizome of Reed by nature. However, at present, the rhizome of Lugen is not distinguished from the stem of it. They are cut in round slices and used together. It is said that Lugen and "Weijing" have different medicinal benefits." Weijing" is used as antiinflammatory, for draining pus and relieving water retention. It is applied for choleraic disease, vomiting, lung abscess, flaccid paralysis of lung and fever with dysphoria. | |||||
