Remarks | In the market, the root of Asparagus cochinchinensis (Lour.) Merr. (Jap. name: Kusasugikazura) as well as that of A. lucidus Lindl. var. pygmaeus Makino, A. filicinum Ham. (Jap. name: Tachitemmondō) and A. schoberioides Kunth (Jap. name: Kijikakushi) may be distributed. Tianmendong has a strong effect of nourishing the lung and kidney. Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Tuber) has an advantage of clearing away heat and relieving dryness of the lung. Both are applied in the combination for the cough of lung tuberculosis. | |||||
