RemarksDr. Keisetsu Otsuka remarks "Both Taoren (Persicae Semen) and Xingren (Armeniacae Semen) have the benefits of anti-inflammatory, detoxicant, analgesic and nourishing moisture. The former is used for the syndrome of lower burner, that is to cure the disease of lower body. The latter is used for the syndrome of upper burner, that is to cure the disease of upper body. Taoren promotes circulation of blood, while Xingren promotes the natural flow of vital energy and water in the Five Elements."
