| Remarks | Pruni cortex has been developed as a folk medicine in Japan. It is listed in a lot of classical references in Edo period such as "Kyumintampo", "Keikenshiho", "Syokokukodenhiho", "Kihoroku" and "Myoyakuhakubutsusen". Dr. Hanaoka Seishu described in his "Yokahosen" that Pruni cortex was used for Jumihaidokuto in place of Bokusoku, the bark of genus Quercus (Q. acutissima, Q. serrata, Q. dentata, etc.). | ||||||
