Remarks | Emmeiso is a Japanese folk medicine. According to "Wakansansaizue" ("hoso" class of Vol. 93rd): Emmeiso is the common name of "Hikiokoshi". "Hikiokoshi" means reviving the dead. The legend has it that "Kobodaishi", a Japanese great priest, immediately rescued a dying person from abdominal pain by applying Emmeiso in the mountains. After that, people became aware of the benefit of the plant and named it Emmeiso that means life-prolonging grass. |
