Remarks | Maziren is also called "Chojitsu" ("Onomi"), "Kamanin" and "Taimanin" in Japan. It is used as food, an ingredient of the Japanese mixed spice "Shichimitōgarashi", birdseed and a raw material for essential oil. Cannabis sativa L. var. indica Lamark (JP Indoasa) is an elemental variant cultivated in India, Bangladesh and other regions. Though it resembles Maziren closely in appearance, it has an anesthetic component "cannabinoids" in its leaf and, especially, in cilia. Therefore, it is regulated as a narcotic drug. | |||||
