| Common uses | This drug is astringent, tonic and demulcent and is used for dysentery, haemoptysis/hemoptysis, pulmonary tuberculosis, influenza and menorrhagia. Bark exudes a gum known as Semul gum or Mocarasa from natural wounds probably caused by decay or by insects or as a result of a functional disease. | ||||
