Common usesSilajit is used in genito-urinary diseases, diabetes, jaundice, enlarged spleen, dyspepsia, worms, piles, adipose tissue formation, anasarca, renal stone and calculi.

Chemical constituent
Benzoic acid, benzoates - main active principles. It contains 65% urea.
On analysis it yielded Water - 85; organic matter - 52; mineral matter - 34.95%.
Mineral matter contained Nitrogen - 1.03; lime - 7.80; potash - 9.07; phosphoric acid - 0.16 and silica - 1.35%.
