Remarks- Douchi is a kind of so-called Nattō, or fermented soybeans. It is the main medicine for exterior syndrome of acute infectious febrile diseases. At present, douchi on Japanese market is dried Nattō, which is not of high quality. Some Chinese Traditional Medicine doctors make Douchi by themselves.
- The preparation described in The Pharmacopoeia of The People's Republic of China is: Decoct 70-100g each of Folium Mori and Herba Artemisiae Annuae with water. Filter. Mix the filtrate with 1000g of clean Semen Sojae until the liquid is completely absorbed, steam, then take out the seeds. Dry in air briefly, cover with decocted Folium Mori and Herba Artemisiae Annuae, and ferment until yellow hyphae appear completely. Remove the residue, wash clean, ferment again for 15-20 days until an aromatic odour is produced. Take out the fermented seed, steam briefly, and dry.
