Remarks | The fruit of Forsythia suspensa or F. viridissima was defined in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia 16th edi. Only the former has been defiend since its 17th edi. The Chinese Pharmacopoeia also defines F. suspensa only. Korean Linqiao (Chosenrengyō in Jap.) is the fruit of F. koreana Nakai. It is a substitute for the real one and is inferior in quality . "Shōrengyō" (小連翹) is Hypericum erectum Thunb. (Otogirisō in Jap.) of family Hypericaceae and other species of the same genus. | |||||
