| Remarks | Scopolia Rhizome has been listed in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia as a substitute for Belladonna Rhizome since the 2nd edition. Because Japanese Scopolia Rhizome is in short supply, the rhizomes of Scopolia carniolica L. (Japanese name: Yōshū-hashiridokoro), produced in Europe, or Scopolia parviflora Nakai (Japanese name: Chōsen-hashiridokoro), produced in Korea, are occasionally used. | |||||
