Common uses | Head and chest: The fruit is effective against colic, flatulence, cough, bronchitis and coryza. Both (fruit and root) remove cold affections i.e. rheumatism, gout and sciatica. The fruit acts as expectorant. Eye: The powder of the fruit is used in eye diseases. Food: The fruit is much used as a spice. Excretion: The fruit and root are also used as aphrodisiac alone or with other suitable drugs. | |||||
